Job Title: Procurement Expert Lead

We are seeking a seasoned Procurement Expert Lead to support the Asset Forfeiture Division and United States Marshals Service (USMS) Personnel. This position requires a deep understanding of Federal and Department Regulatory requirements governing procurement, as well as the ability to advise and assist contracting and operating personnel in applying related policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Reviews and evaluates pre-award and post-award contracting actions to ensure compliance with Federal and Department Regulatory requirements
  2. Develops and disseminates procurement policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure consistent application across the organization
  3. Collaborates with Contracting Officers and Contracting Officer Representatives to perform contract administration duties and provide input based on forecasting justification for proposals and activities of the USMS
  4. Maintains and updates the USMS Contracting Officer and Contracting Officer Representative warrant tracking system

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 24 hours of business credits
  • At least 15 years of related acquisitions working experience demonstrating the required duties and responsibilities
  • Detailed knowledge of various acquisition methods and types
  • Extensive knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation requirements as well as policies and procedures applicable to the award and administration of Federal Assistance Agreements (i.e., grants and cooperative agreements.)
  • General knowledge of PRISM or other Government databases
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
