We are seeking a Public Health Navigator to join our team at the Edward M. Kennedy Community Health Center, Inc.

About the Job

As a Public Health Navigator, you will play a critical role in improving the health outcomes of vulnerable populations by serving as a liaison between our community health center and local schools.

Your primary responsibility will be to increase enrollment and utilization of our school-based health centers (SBHCs) through increased visibility at school and community events. You will also assist refugee, immigrant, and other new arrivals to navigate the complex educational and medical system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Increase enrollment and utilization of SBHCs through increased visibility at school and community events
  • Assist refugee, immigrant, and other new arrivals to navigate the complex educational and medical system
  • Collaborate with medical enrollment specialists to assist families with insurance enrollment
  • Develop programs to address health issues among the student body, inclusive of classroom-based health education
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with diverse populations. You should also have a strong understanding of public health principles and practices.
