Job Overview

CDR Maguire Inc. is seeking a Transportation Construction Inspector to join their team in the Greater Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, PA area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with contract documents and health and safety plans, as well as preparing daily progress reports and maintaining progress schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify contractor compliance with contract documents and health and safety plans.
  • Check delivered materials for conformance to contract documents.
  • Prepare and submit daily reports of work performed.
  • Effective oral and written communication.
  • Ability to bend, stretch, kneel, sit, and stand.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Wear required personal protective gear/equipment.
  • React to hazardous warnings and signals.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma, GED, or post-secondary education.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Basic math computations for length, area, and volume.
  • Preferred certifications: BS Civil Engineering, NICET Level 2 or higher in Transportation/Highway Construction, NECEPT Bituminous field certification, ACI/PennDOT Concrete field technician certification, PennDOT/PTC CDS certification, ECMS experience, OSHA 10-Hour certification.
