Job Summary

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized Medical Scribe to join our team at Integrated Foot and Ankle. As a Medical Scribe, you will work closely with our podiatric surgeons to accurately document patient interactions and assist with medical charting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accompany physicians into patient examination rooms to transcribe medical histories and physical exams, and document accurately the physician's encounter with the patient and others present.
  • List all proper diagnoses and symptoms, as well as follow-up instructions and prescriptions as dictated by the physician.
  • Transcribe patient orders, including laboratory tests, radiology tests, medications, etc.
  • Document any procedures performed by the physician.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times.
  • Adhere to employer work practices.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff, and management.
  • Effectively cope with typical job stress.
  • Document work processes as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • At least 2+ years of experience in a medical office setting, preferably with 1+ year of Medical Scribe experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • BLS Certification (preferred). Certified Medical Assistant (preferred).
  • A cheerful, empathetic demeanor with an unwavering commitment to providing the best patient experience.
  • Skilled in computer-based word-processing (Microsoft Office), administrative writing skills, record-keeping, typing, and verbal communication.
  • Ability to flourish independently or collaboratively within a team.
  • A firm understanding and commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of patient records.
