Per Diem Veterinary Technician

We are seeking a skilled Per Diem Veterinary Technician to join our Oncology team at Veterinary Specialty Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee appointments and manage client interactions throughout their visit.
- Participate in patient assessment, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures with our DVMs.
- Obtain and process laboratory samples, including blood, urine, free fluid, and fine needle aspirates.
- Utilize various imaging modalities for patient and procedural assessment.
- Execute, monitor, and recover sedation and anesthetic events.
- Provide empathy, comfort, and exceptional nursing care to patients, advocating for their needs during hospitalization.
- Maintain equipment on a per-use basis to ensure patient safety and best practice care.
- Administer chemotherapeutic agents and provide client education on oncology disease processes.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a veterinary hospital setting.
- Recent graduates with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Technology will be considered.
- Comprehensive understanding and experience with anesthetic monitoring.
- Proficiency in processing basic laboratory specimens and radiographic techniques.
- RVT or VTS preferred.
