POSITION OBJECTIVE:

The Kitchen Operations Associate plays a vital role in upholding the Schlotzsky's brand standards while ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and adherence to recipes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

Preparation Area

  • Adhere to preparation guidelines for vegetables, meats, and cheeses, ensuring quantities align with daily production requirements.
  • Utilize cutting gloves when handling meats.
  • Properly cover, label, and store all food items at appropriate temperatures.
  • Prepare salad mixes following established recipes and procedures.
  • Cook soups in accordance with recipe standards.
  • Slice buns as per established protocols, ensuring safety with cutting gloves.
  • Maintain cleanliness of preparation areas in compliance with safety and sanitation regulations at the end of each shift.

Meat, Cheese & Finishing Area

  • Accurately prepare all orders by following recipes and customer requests.
  • Work efficiently to meet the restaurant's speed of service expectations.
  • Keep the workstation organized and clean at all times.

Pizza Preparation Area

  • Follow recipes and customer orders to prepare pizzas accurately.
  • Serve pizzas on plates or in take-out containers as per established standards.
  • Maintain a swift pace to adhere to service guidelines.
  • Ensure a clean and organized workstation consistently.

Soup and Salad Preparation Area

  • Prepare all orders accurately by following recipes and customer requests.
  • Present food on plates or in take-out containers according to established standards.
  • Work efficiently to maintain the restaurant's service speed.
  • Keep the workstation clean and organized at all times.

Bakery Section

  • Follow baking procedures for all bread products according to recipes.
  • Adhere to the bakery production schedule.
  • Maintain proper weights and proofing processes as per recipes.
  • Ensure production times align with daily requirements.
  • Prepare bakery items to meet quality shelf life standards.

Exterior Maintenance

  • Monitor the cleanliness of the parking area and ensure debris is removed.
  • Clean outdoor tables and chairs as necessary.
  • Empty outdoor trash receptacles as needed.

Additional Duties

  • Collaborate with management to address customer concerns.
  • Foster a positive working environment by treating all colleagues with respect.
  • Familiarize oneself with and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a positive demeanor and follow managerial guidance consistently.
  • Adhere to strict safety and sanitation protocols.
  • Arrive on time for scheduled shifts.
  • Comply with uniform and grooming standards upon arrival and departure from work.

GENERAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age to operate specific kitchen equipment.
  • Should possess knowledge of procedures for all kitchen and guest service stations.
  • Essential functions include, but are not limited to:
  • Lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Lifting full 33-gallon trash bags from containers.
  • Standing and walking throughout the scheduled shift.
  • Bending, stretching, reaching, pushing, and kneeling to access products or clean areas.
  • Performing repetitive hand and arm motions.
  • Certain tasks require the ability to perform repetitive slicing motions with a sharp knife.
  • Certain tasks require handling hot food by hand for brief periods during the shift.

This position is located at a Schlotzsky's corporate establishment.
