KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain fire alarm and security systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Utilize tools and testing equipment effectively, including multi-meters and programming laptops.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of fire alarm codes and regulations.
- Conduct programming and software updates for various fire alarm systems.
- Diagnose and resolve faults within fire alarm systems, including ground faults.
- Replace or repair fire alarm components as necessary.
- Communicate professionally with clients and monitoring companies.
- Document work orders, materials used, and time spent on projects.
- Maintain company vehicles in accordance with company policies.
- Participate in on-call duties for emergency service requests.
- Engage in ongoing education to stay current with technology and regulatory changes.
- Provide training to junior technicians on fire protection systems.
- Manage inventory of tools and assets.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven supervisory and industry experience.
- Preferred certifications such as NICET or state-specific credentials.
- Experience with HILTI or STI systems is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel extensively for work assignments.
- Must possess reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Clean driving record required.
- Ability to share accommodations while traveling.
- Comfortable working at heights and capable of lifting 75 lbs.
- Must pass background checks and routine drug screenings.
- Commitment to maintaining a drug-free workplace.
