The estimated salary for this position is between $19,500 and $22,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Description
  • Performs complete safety and mechanical checks of yard trucks and trailers.
  • Drives to trailers, backs up to the trailer, raises the 5th wheel, makes connections, and climbs down to remove the wheel chock.
  • Backs the trailer into the designed spot, disconnects the trailer, and installs chocks.
  • Drives a forklift to make up cross-dock loads.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability and willingness to work non-traditional shifts and hours, including overtime when needed.
  • CDL A Certification.
  • Hazmat and Doubles endorsements.
  • Minimum 1 year driving tractor/trailer combinations.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations on equipment standards and inspections.
