About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Category Manager to join our Tech Category Team. This role will be responsible for sourcing networking components from manufacturers such as Cisco, and will have exposure at VP+ level to influence sourcing strategy for networking components at a Pan-Amazon level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver long-term sourcing strategies, leading key initiatives with cross-functional teams.
  • Drive commercial relationships with suppliers, achieving optimal cost and performance.
  • Lead supplier performance management, including improving sustainability and social responsibility.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with global/local teams to deploy and manage the implementation of defined strategies.
  • Influence suppliers' roadmaps, design, processes, technology decisions, and strategies.
  • Lead complex and cross-functional projects, driving productivity, sustainability, and innovation.
About the Team

We are the Tech, LATAM, AMET Team, responsible for managing all Tech-related categories/commodities globally, as well as supporting stakeholders for all their procurement needs in Latin America and Africa, Middle East, Egypt, and Turkey.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 5+ years of program or project management experience.
  • 5+ years of supply chain experience.
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
  • Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience.
  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design, or related field.

The base pay for this position ranges from $103,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $181,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
