Job Summary

The Ophthalmology Division at Denver Health is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Ophthalmologist to join our team as an Intermittent/PRN Ophthalmologist to cover patient care and ophthalmology resident supervision on an as-needed basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and teach ophthalmology residents in a resident-run clinic, including general or subspecialty clinics such as retina and glaucoma if the candidate's experience and training allow.
  • Provide high-quality patient care and clinical/surgical standards while advancing the Denver Health culture of excellence.
  • Collaborate with staff, other physicians, and management to improve service and patient care.
  • Participate in education and research to improve patient outcomes and quality of care.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited medical school and completion of accredited residency programs and fellowships for specialists, or equivalent required.
  • Board certification or board eligibility required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience and training in teaching and supervising ophthalmology residents.
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse patient population and commitment to caring for underserved and marginalized patients.
