About the Role

This is an ideal position for an individual who enjoys supervising and teaching ophthalmology residents, working with a diverse patient population, and is committed to the care of underserved and marginalized patients.

Responsibilities
  • Physicians at Denver Health serve as teachers for trainees seeking clinical experience and provide education for postgraduate medical trainees.
  • Focus on superior patient care by practicing evidence-based, high-quality state-of-the-art medicine, encouraging patient understanding and involvement in care, and achieving optimal patient access.
  • Collaborate on care delivery by including staff, other physicians, and management in service and patient care improvements, treating all members with respect, and demonstrating the highest levels of ethical and professional conduct.
  • Listen and communicate by providing clinical information in a clear and timely manner, requesting information and resources needed to provide care, and providing and accepting feedback in a respectful manner.
  • Take ownership by providing leadership to improve outcomes, quality, and service quality, working to ensure personal, departmental, and organizational compliance with legal and educational requirements, and steadily improving the efficiency and economic aspects of your practice.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited medical school and completion of accredited residency programs and fellowships for specialists, or equivalent required.
  • Board certified or board eligible.
