The RN (Pre Operative) Registered Nurse coordinates patient care for oncology patients through their treatment journey, ensuring effective communication and education for patients and families.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assessing patient needs and developing care plans;
  • Facilitating referrals to various specialists;
  • Overseeing operational tasks within the healthcare team;
  • Clinical Practice: Care Coordination and Patient/Family Referral;
  • Clinical Research;

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing highly preferred;
  • Master's Degree in Health-related field preferred;
  • A minimum of three (3) years experience in adult inpatient services, ambulatory oncology service or operating room;
  • Oncology experience preferred;
  • Connecticut RN license;
  • Oncology Nursing Society certification (OCN, AOCN) desirable;
