Payroll Processing Specialist

Capstone Logistics is a North American supply chain solutions partner with over 650 operating locations, 19,000 associates, and 60,000 carriers. We specialize in freight management, warehouse and distribution center support, last-mile delivery, supply chain analytics, optimization, and more.
We are seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for processing weekly, multi-state payrolls and providing payroll support to all levels of management and field personnel.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Process weekly, multi-state payrolls, including entering exceptions, garnishments, and other earnings or deductions.
- Review data imported from time and attendance systems to ensure accurate transfer of hours worked and pay owed.
- Review and audit computed wages and deductions, correcting errors to ensure accuracy of payroll.
- Post wages and deductions to payroll records.
- Create, cancel, and reissue manual payroll checks or manual loads to payroll debit cards as required.
- Stop payment or reversals of live checks or direct deposits.
**Requirements:**
- Three to five years of experience with automated payroll processing.
- Working knowledge of payroll procedures and Federal/state/local employment tax laws.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
