We are seeking a dedicated full-time (part-time candidates will also be considered) Aesthetic Medical Support Specialist for our Plastic Surgery practice.
Key Qualifications:Applicants should possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in a medical office setting.
Experience with in-office procedures and patient visits is essential.
Background in plastic surgery and/or dermatology is advantageous.
Familiarity with the AAAASF accreditation process is beneficial but not mandatory.
Understanding of fundamental office protocols, including HIPAA regulations, biowaste management, and sterilization procedures is required.
Proficiency in sterile techniques, wound assessments, suture removal, and bandaging methods is expected.
Ability to communicate preoperative and postoperative instructions effectively to patients.
Strong multitasking skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are necessary.
Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), particularly EMA (Modern Medicine), is a plus.
Main Responsibilities:- Prepare charts and document visits, consultations, and procedures with precision and detail.
- Set up, scrub, and sterilize surgical instruments.
- Assist the surgeon during aesthetic breast and body procedures by maintaining a sterile field, passing instruments, ordering supplies, and ensuring equipment is sterilized.
- Communicate lab results, preoperative instructions, and postoperative care to patients.
- Room patients and obtain vital signs and medical histories.
- Conduct postoperative wound checks and perform suture removals.
- Coordinate surgical procedures with external entities such as hospitals, surgery centers, and other healthcare providers.
