Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and document vital signs and patient backgrounds
  • Coordinate provider schedules and appointments, enter orders, and prepare patient charts
  • Instruct patients and families as directed within the scope of licensure or certification
  • Assist medical providers with in-office procedures and prepare and administer medications
  • Ensure appropriate levels of medical supplies for each patient room
Requirements
  • Current clinical experience as a Medical Assistant or graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing
  • Knowledge of principles and skills needed for practical nurse or medical assistant to provide patient care
  • Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care
  • Ability to work under stressful or emergency situations with high concentration and energy level
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet changing demands
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current clinical experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Previous experience working as an Emergency Medical Technician or Advanced Emergency Medical Technician
