Job Summary:

InGenesis is seeking a skilled Pharmacist to join our team. As a Pharmacist, you will be responsible for managing all pharmaceutical activities, including the purchase, inventory, control, and record-keeping of all Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) controlled substances stored in the pharmacy.

Main Responsibilities:

Manage all pharmaceutical activities, including purchasing, inventory control, and record-keeping of DEA controlled substances.
Secure and maintain a current facility DEA Registration Number and maintain necessary legal records on controlled substance items.
Provide treatment of persons throughout the life span as appropriate to discipline and facility setting.
Respond to and coordinate response to medical emergencies.
Adjust prescription instructions and drug quantities to correspond to strengths and dosage forms stocked at the medical clinic.
Counsel patients on the appropriate use of medication(s).

Qualifications:

B.S. in Pharmacology or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from a program that is accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education.
Current, full and unrestricted pharmacist license in the state in which the duty station is located.
BLS for Healthcare Providers certification through the American Heart Association.
Ability to pass a federal government security background check.

Physical Demands:

Required to respond to any medical emergency within 4 minutes, where a fast walk or jog may be necessary to provide assistance.
Must have the ability to assist sick, injured or aging detainees or staff exiting the building during an emergency (may require lifting, dragging, wheeling or carrying someone who weighs significantly more than self).
Must be able to see, hear and smell with or without the use of aides if necessary (exceptions on a case-by-case basis).
Must easily alternate between kneeling and standing.
Must be able to lift, push, or carry 30 pounds.
Must be capable of standing on hard surfaces (cement floors) for long periods of time.

This position is dependent upon contract award. *Pay rate range commensurate on experience.
