Marugame Udon specializes in traditional Sanuki-style udon, tempura, and beverages prepared in an open kitchen, allowing guests to witness the cooking process. Key Responsibilities:
As a Team Supervisor, you will ensure the restaurant operates smoothly and profitably while upholding professionalism and our core values. You will oversee the business performance during your shifts and maintain high standards of food quality, service, health regulations, and safety protocols.
This role is pivotal within Marugame Udon and may be fast-paced, demanding, yet highly rewarding. You will receive the necessary training to develop into a managerial position. Team Supervisors are expected to complete management training and be fully capable of performing hourly crew member duties before taking on independent shifts.
- Accurately follow recipes and maintain food preparation standards.
- Complete food preparation tasks promptly and efficiently.
- Prepare food as needed throughout the day, anticipating customer demand.
- Ensure proper portion control and consistently monitor food levels.
- Adhere to food handling, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Engage with customers and provide exceptional omotenashi.
- Maintain menu knowledge and train team members accordingly.
- Reconcile daily sales and manage cash and credit transactions.
- Motivate and train crew members.
- Plan and execute shift responsibilities across all operational areas.
- Monitor inventory and manage supplies to maintain stock levels.
- Follow regulations when serving alcoholic beverages (if applicable).
- Ensure cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas at all times.
- Maintain effective communication with staff and management.
- Monitor product quality and ensure hygiene and sanitation practices meet company standards.
- Handle cash drawers and prepare daily operation reports.
- Coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Oversee restaurant operations during scheduled shifts.
- Manage staff performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Offer on-the-spot training to staff as needed.
- Address customer concerns and resolve issues.
- Ensure compliance with the company’s uniform and safety policies.
