Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Computer Operator II to join our team at AmerisourceBergen Drug Corporation. This role is responsible for monitoring computer systems, system jobs, and connected devices in the data processing area to contribute to the success of daily data operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Print, output, and distribute reports and documents to internal and external customers.
  • Monitor computer systems, system jobs, and connected devices, identifying problems or errors, and ensuring quick resolution by correcting issues or notifying supervisors or technical support.
  • Manipulate printer spool files and output queues to process reports and documents on required print devices.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment according to user manuals and installation standards.
  • Monitor paper, forms, and ribbon utilization, notifying responsible parties when supplies need to be ordered.
  • Submit job requests based on appropriate computer schedules.
  • Develop, document, and implement new processes and procedures as needed.
  • Maintain an organized work area to ensure the computer room remains clean and prevent work-related injuries.
  • Provide remote systematic support for other distribution centers in the corporate network.
  • Function as site contact for printer repairs, deployments, network/system/RF device troubleshooting, and remediation.
  • Familiarity with technology such as MS Outlook, SAP, PkMS, printers, scanners, Android-based RF devices, etc.
  • Maintain inventory of issued Android-based wearable devices.
  • Ability to work overtime when necessary.
Requirements
  • Requires some training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences, or similar vocations, typically obtained through completion of a two-year Associate's Degree program, technical vocational training, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Normally requires one to two years of directly related and progressively responsible experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail.
  • Ability to implement processes resulting in satisfactory audit practices.
  • Strong computer skills to operate effectively with company systems and programs.
  • Knowledge of AS400, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of data processing equipment and peripheral devices such as printers, copiers, handheld, and order entry units.
