About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our team at Dollar General. As an Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our distribution centers, driving efficiency and productivity, and leading a team of professionals to achieve exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough analysis of reports to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address operational gaps.
  • Develop and implement measurement systems to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead the development of action plans to address operational gaps and improve productivity.
  • Partner with management and non-management teams to identify root causes of operational issues and develop solutions.
  • Communicate changing trends and best practices to the team and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Set and monitor distribution center performance goals and budgets.
  • Work with Human Resources to resolve employee relations issues and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain a positive and participative image in the community.
Requirements
  • 10 years of experience in distribution, logistics, and management.
  • Strong analytical and math skills, with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of specific individual operations within the distribution center.
  • Planning and forecasting skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and write operational and performance reports.
  • Understanding of human resource practices and OSHA and FDA regulations.
  • Ability to effectively monitor and develop team members.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word, with experience in general software applications and Warehouse Management System functionality.
