Job Overview
Waterfall Community Health Center, a leading provider of integrated patient-centered primary care in Southern Oregon, is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Behavioral Health department, you will play a critical role in providing trauma-informed counseling services to patients across the region.
About the Role
We offer a competitive salary range of $76,724 - $94,993.60, depending on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a 401(k) retirement plan with a 6% employer match. You will also have access to student loan repayment programs, CEU allowance, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
Responsibilities
- Provide trauma-informed counseling services to patients, including individual and group therapy sessions, using evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, and ACT.
- Assess patients' behavioral and mental health needs, developing treatment plans that address their unique circumstances and goals.
- Collaborate with our interdisciplinary care team, including psychiatrists, primary care providers, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care coordination and outcomes.
- Foster a supportive, inclusive environment that promotes cultural sensitivity and awareness, serving patients from diverse backgrounds and socioeconomic statuses.
- Stay up-to-date with best practices in mental health care, participating in ongoing education and training opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Master's degree in counseling or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Unrestricted LPC licensure in the state of Oregon.
- Certification in one or more evidence-based therapies (e.g., EMDR, EFT, ACT, TF-CBT, DBT).
- 2+ years of experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in mental health or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with patients, colleagues, and community partners.
