The Corporate Paralegal plays a crucial role in delivering comprehensive paralegal support to the Chief Legal Officer (CLO) and the Legal Department at Ionic Digital Inc. This position entails direct reporting to the CLO on a variety of legal matters, encompassing tasks such as drafting, reviewing, negotiating, processing, revising, tracking, and filing agreements. These agreements may include commercial transactions and vendor service contracts, alongside assisting with regulatory compliance and special projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage contract administration, which includes drafting, revising, and overseeing contracts under the guidance of the CLO and other legal professionals.
  • Utilize and manage contract management systems effectively.
  • Monitor and provide timely advice on contractual deadlines.
  • Ensure compliance of contract terms with company policies, as well as federal and state regulations.
  • Organize, maintain, and track all documents related to the Legal Department.
  • Assist in fulfilling contract terms, including renewals and terminations.
  • Collaborate with external legal counsel as needed.
  • Conduct research and provide insights on special legal issues.
  • Facilitate document routing for signatures using electronic signature platforms.
  • Develop processes and workflows that enhance productivity and align with company best practices.
  • Administer the records retention policy.
  • Work collaboratively with various teams, including Legal, Human Resources, IT, and Operations.
  • Schedule meetings with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Provide general administrative support as directed by the CLO.
  • Manage deadlines and prioritize tasks to ensure timely completion.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a commercial paralegal within a corporate environment.
  • Paralegal certification or equivalent preferred.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Experience with legal and AI software is advantageous.
  • Self-motivated with strong business acumen and analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to manage a substantial workload and respond promptly to multiple deadlines.
  • Capable of working independently and effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Solid understanding of legal terminology and principles.
