Position Overview:
The Customer Service Representative plays a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction through various responsibilities, as outlined below:
- Welcomes and assists customers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a courteous and professional manner. Adheres to company protocols to enhance customer experience during transactions.
- Operates checkout systems and cash handling equipment, executing all related procedures efficiently, including proper bagging of items and organizing purchases for customers.
- Ensures transaction accuracy, confirming that all items are accounted for and that payments are processed correctly, including cash, checks, electronic payments, and discounts. Maintains security protocols and cash drawer accuracy to prevent discrepancies.
- Stays informed about promotional offers, marketing campaigns, and store layout to effectively assist customers with their questions.
- Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the work area, following established cleaning protocols to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Collaborates with colleagues and supervisors to ensure the smooth operation of the department and store, continuously seeking to enhance job performance.
- Utilizes all provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required, including safety gloves and footwear.
- May be required to support other departments as needed.
Compensation:
Hourly wage ranges from $15.00 to $22.00.
Supervisory Role:
This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates must be able to perform essential duties effectively, with or without accommodations. The following qualifications are preferred:
- Education: Completion or pursuit of a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Experience: No prior experience is necessary.
