Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Traveling Construction Superintendent to oversee construction projects across various locations. This role requires strong leadership and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise onsite activities, ensuring that work is executed efficiently and meets quality standards.
  • Implement safety protocols to comply with OSHA and EM regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
  • Coordinate schedules and manage subcontractors and material suppliers effectively.
  • Participate in all pre-construction site visits and inspections.
  • Direct and communicate with team members to facilitate smooth operations.
  • Conduct regular quality control and progress meetings.
  • Execute the three phases of control as per USACE EM385 guidelines.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a project manager or superintendent in a general contracting environment, with a focus on government projects.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and project specifications.
  • Computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, and Bluebeam.
  • Experience in creating project schedules and managing pre-construction and product submittals is advantageous.
  • Completion of OSHA 30-hour training and five years of safety management experience in construction.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.

Preferred:

  • USACE Quality Control Manager certification for Contractors.
  • NAVFAC ECATTS certification.
  • EM hr certification.
  • HAZWOPER training.
