Responsibilities:
  • Slicing and Preparation: Safely and efficiently operate deli slicing equipment to prepare high-quality deli meats, cheeses, and other ingredients for sandwiches.
  • Quality Control: Ensure precise slicing weight and uniformity to maintain consistent quality standards.
  • Food Safety and Sanitation: Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and hygienic work environment.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of sliced meats and cheeses, and communicate replenishment needs to the management team.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other team members to meet customer demands and ensure timely order fulfillment.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Assist in maintaining a well-organized and stocked kitchen area.
  • Company Policies: Adhere to company policies and procedures, including portion control and waste reduction.
  • Customer Service: Uphold a positive and professional attitude while providing excellent customer service.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Previous experience as a Deli Slicer or in a similar food preparation role is preferred.
  • Knife Skills: Strong knife skills and the ability to operate deli slicing equipment with precision.
  • Food Safety Knowledge: Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling techniques.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain consistent quality standards.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Physical Stamina: Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy containers when necessary.
