About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Support Specialist to join our team at Summit Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide patient support and communication, ensuring a positive and personalized experience.
Facilitate patient preparation and coordination of appointments, procedures, and services.
Collect and document vital signs, medical histories, and screenings.
Perform point-of-care laboratory tests, EKGs, and other patient care activities as ordered or indicated.
Authorize prescription refills and prepare patients, rooms, and supplies for visits or examinations.
Clean and maintain treatment rooms and equipment to ensure a safe and clean environment.
Requirements:
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or eligible within 90 days of hire.
1 year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
Phlebotomy experience required.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers preferred.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
