Job Summary and Qualifications
The HCA Nurse Residency Program at Rose Medical Center equips you with the necessary tools to thrive in a modern hospital setting. This compensated program facilitates your transition from academic learning to practical application through a series of structured educational experiences, including:
- Advanced training in specialized clinical areas.
- Monthly educational workshops.
- Hands-on mentorship with a designated preceptor.
- Skill assessment through practical simulations.
- Guidance from experienced nursing leaders.
- Collaborative projects based on evidence-based practices.
Available Specialties
Specialties include Post Surgical, Oncology, Tele/Neuro, and Orthopedics.
Role Responsibilities
The RN Resident is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care aligned with departmental requirements and professional standards. In collaboration with healthcare providers and team members, the RN Resident offers individualized, compassionate care utilizing established nursing frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patient conditions upon admission and during scheduled shifts, reporting any changes.
- Execute procedures and monitor patient responses as directed by healthcare providers.
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor for therapeutic effects.
- Provide exceptional patient care by responding promptly to requests and anticipating needs.
- Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
Qualifications:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within one year of employment
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse status in the state
- No prior experience required
- Some travel may be necessary for training
