Job Description

Nassau Candy is a leading manufacturer and distributor of specialty confections, fine foods, and promotional products.

The successful candidate will have at least three years of experience in maintaining industrial equipment in a production setting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Identifying and resolving technical issues to ensure optimal equipment performance
  • Designing and implementing new control systems using existing software or developing new software solutions
  • Maintaining regular equipment upkeep, including software updates and data backup
  • Conducting initial setup and configuration of machinery, including wiring diagrams and control system designs
  • Installing, maintaining, and repairing control systems on production lines for process flow, networks, and heating and cooling
  • Installing and maintaining electrical components such as motors, switches, relays, and transformers

The successful candidate should possess the following skills:

  • Brazing and soldering expertise
  • Familiarity with motors, pumps, sheaves, and belts
  • Knowledge of packaging and manufacturing machine repair and maintenance
  • Familiarity with proper preventative maintenance techniques
  • PLC diagnostics and calibration expertise
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Experience with Siemens, Allen Bradley, Honeywell, and Omron systems

A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field is preferred.
