The Role

We are seeking a seasoned Cybersecurity Leader to join our team as Chief Security Officer. This key position will lead our information security, privacy, business continuation/disaster recovery, and physical security efforts, ensuring the protection of our company, employees, and facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy, aligning with our business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead a team of security professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence in risk management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advise on technology risk and enable business processes that drive success.
  • Protect our information, systems, financial, and physical assets, mitigating potential risks and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Establish and maintain policies and standards for privacy controls and compliance, including HIPAA, PCI, CCPA, CCPR, and GDPR.
  • Develop metrics for security and compliance adoption across the organization.
  • Stay up-to-date on data privacy and security laws and best practices, advising the company accordingly.
  • Lead the execution and delivery of technical vulnerability analyses, audits, policy compliance reviews, BCDR implementation and planning, risk-based IT assessments, and compliance reviews.
  • Communicate security strategy, risks, costs, and related impact to senior leadership.
  • Drive information gathering and risk assessment, developing strategies to prevent security-related incidents.
  • Coordinate with government agencies as required.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience leading functions spanning Information Security, Privacy, Business Continuation, and related disciplines.
  • 10+ years of leading teams of varying sizes.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline.
  • Current professional certifications such as CISSP, CFE, or others.
  • Experience in leading Fraud Operations, Physical Security, and Corporate Investigations functions.
  • Experience working with cybersecurity controls frameworks and data privacy regulations such as NIST SP 800-53, ISO 27001/2, CIS Controls, NIST CSF, HITRUST, GDPR, CCPA, or similar.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate security and privacy considerations to technical and non-technical audiences.
