Position Summary:

This is a temporary assignment lasting between 3 to 6 months, aimed at providing essential support to our Safety Administration team. The primary focus of this role is to assist in the onboarding process for temporary seasonal project workers, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and administrative procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Onboarding Process:
    • Facilitate the onboarding for new and returning employees, ensuring all necessary requirements are fulfilled.
    • Coordinate background checks, drug screenings, and medical examinations.
    • Monitor the progress of onboarding tasks and follow up on any outstanding requirements.
  • Documentation Management:
    • Maintain comprehensive records of onboarding activities, ensuring all documentation is organized and accessible.
    • Prepare reports to update management on the status of onboarding activities.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Ensure adherence to company policies and industry regulations throughout the onboarding process.
    • Assist the safety team in verifying that all new hires meet required safety standards prior to commencing work.
  • Administrative Support:
    • Provide general administrative assistance to the safety team as needed.
    • Support additional safety administration tasks as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities to effectively interact with new hires and internal teams.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in managing documentation and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Familiarity with safety administration processes is advantageous.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software is preferred.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; further education in safety administration or related fields is a plus.
  • Prior experience in safety administration or human resources, particularly with onboarding processes, is preferred.

Work Environment:

  • This position is based in an office setting.
