We are seeking a Service Supervisor to oversee internal teams and operations, ensuring optimal resource utilization and providing outstanding customer service. This role is integral to achieving branch performance objectives and involves hands-on supervisory responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with clients to assess their service requirements and provide accurate quotes.
- Distribute workloads effectively while fostering team development.
- Monitor the open order aging report to ensure timely invoicing for repairs.
- Manage scheduling and workflow within the service shop.
- Verify that employees possess the necessary qualifications for assigned tasks.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant NTTC, ASME/National Board, and CFR regulations.
- Enhance product knowledge among staff through ongoing training and development.
- Assess employee skills and recommend training opportunities as needed.
- Review and approve requisitions for additional tools and equipment.
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels in alignment with branch needs.
- Provide daily reports and fulfill additional duties as assigned by the Branch Manager.
- Assist in the recruitment process for departmental personnel.
- Conduct annual performance evaluations or as required for team members.
- Enforce company policies and procedures consistently.
Qualifications:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal abilities.
- Highly organized and analytical, with proficiency in computer systems and software.
- Customer service-oriented with robust decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ethical conduct in all job-related activities is essential.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in parts, fleets, and tank trailer service/repair is preferred.
- A degree in Operations Management or a related business field is advantageous.
- Attention to detail is crucial when overseeing testing and documentation.
- Problem-solving skills are vital for addressing complex challenges in mechanical products and systems.
