Are you enthusiastic about Assembly? S&C Electric Company is in search of a proactive individual to oversee our assembly operations. As an assembler, you will be essential in facilitating efficient processes and supporting our diverse workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize basic material handling equipment, hand tools, and pneumatic tools such as screwdrivers and wrenches.
- Conduct basic and precise subassemblies at various stages of the assembly line.
- Perform visual and mechanical inspections using simple gauges and measuring instruments like micrometers, calipers, and resistance meters.
- Package finished products into cardboard containers for distribution.
- Ability to adhere to standard operating procedures and follow detailed written instructions.
- Competence in performing basic and precise subassemblies.
- Experience with pneumatic tools and other handheld equipment.
- Basic mathematical skills are required.
- Mechanical aptitude is essential.
- Prior assembly experience is preferred.
- Candidates with education in electrical or mechanical trades may also be considered.
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings of assemblies.
- Standing: Most tasks are performed while standing, with occasional walking and sitting.
- Lifting: Frequent lifting of items weighing between 1 lb. and 35 lbs.
- Walking: Occasional walking over moderate distances (less than 1/8 mile).
- Carrying: Occasional carrying of components weighing between 1 lb. and 35 lbs.
- Pushing: Occasional pushing of assemblies and containers weighing between 10 lbs. and 35 lbs.
- Pulling: Occasional pulling of assemblies and containers weighing between 10 lbs. and 35 lbs.
- Bending: Occasional bending required for various tasks.
- Reaching: Frequent reaching to load and unload parts from work areas.
- Handling: Continuous handling of parts weighing between 1 lb. and 35 lbs., along with various hand tools.
