We are seeking a skilled Assembler to join our ME Switchgear Assembly team at S&C Electric Company. As an Assembler, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble medium voltage switchgear, both standard and custom units, in a production environment.
- Work in a team to meet production requirements within time constraints.
- Use hand and power tools, and occasionally work while standing on ladders or inside tight compartments.
- Read basic blueprints and produce according to Takt time.
- Assemble Alduti Handles, Barrier clips, Door stops, screen stops, and snap-locks, and other basic custom assemblies.
- Perform Door Sub-Assembly duties, including Gasket sub-assembly and installing windows.
- Bolt Together switchgear components, including bus/main and ground, gasket and bushings, and lifting up to 35-lbs.
- Ability to use basic shop math and measuring tools, such as tape measures.
- Ability to use and stand on a ladder while performing assemblies and using hand tools.
- Ability to use air impact tools and other hand-held tools.
- Ability to follow specific instructions and procedures and read assembly prints.
- Basic computer skills.
