Job Summary:

The Infection Control Registered Nurse will be responsible for delivering quality care consistent with the scope of practice as outlined by the local state nurse practice act for Registered Nurses. This includes working in accordance with local practice acts and regulations, delegating and ensuring supervision of nursing activities and functions to other competent nursing personnel, and managing the responsibilities of the Infection Control Program.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide a safe, sanitary, and comfortable environment for patients and staff
  • Help prevent the development and transmission of communicable diseases and infections
  • Manage the Infection Control Program and maintain national standards for infection control in healthcare
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure effective infection control practices
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest infection control guidelines and regulations
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment
  • Possesses an active CPR certification
  • Remains knowledgeable about specific state laws and regulations governing practice
  • Satisfactory completion of initial and annual clinical competencies to demonstrate aptitude as assigned by role
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or higher
  • Experience in healthcare infection control
  • Certification in infection control from a nationally recognized organization
