Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Transportation Coordinator to join our team at InnovAge. As a Shuttle Driver, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of our frail senior patients to and from our Day Centers and appointments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive InnovAge vehicles in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to defensive driving skills and company policies.
  • Load and unload participants in and out of vehicles, assisting with simple tasks as needed.
  • Transport participants to pre-arranged appointments, delivering in-home meals, supplies, and medications as required.
  • Maintain the safety and cleanliness of assigned vehicles, coordinating maintenance with the Manager of Transportation.
  • Assist other drivers with loading and unloading participants, and participate in interdisciplinary team settings to formulate Plans of Care for InnovAge PACE program participants.
Requirements
  • Valid state-issued Class C Driver's License with previous DOT and Defensive Driving experience.
  • One year of experience working with the frail or elderly.
  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience in the field.
  • At least 21 years of age with a good driving record.
  • 6 months of experience transporting individuals with special mobility needs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of how to use and maintain position equipment.
  • Experience transporting the elderly.
  • 6 months of experience transporting individuals with special mobility needs.
