Job Summary

Buckner International is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Program Aide to join our Family Hope Center Program. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing environment for children, promoting their physical, emotional, and spiritual growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a safe and supportive environment that fosters self-confidence and trust among children.
  • Participate in character development and service learning projects with youth.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and approach when interacting with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Report any special needs or concerns to the supervisor.
  • Support the program's daily plan, which includes elements of recreation, responsibility, and spirituality.
  • Assist with homework, arts, and crafts projects, and implement recreation activities.
  • Provide safe transportation for children as required.
  • Attend and participate in meetings and in-service training, including CPR and First Aid training.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma (or G.E.D.) required.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certifications are necessary; additional training may be required.
  • Ability to drive assigned vehicles or personal vehicles, with a valid state license, and proof of liability insurance.
  • Ability to use up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force continuously to move objects and/or people.
  • Ability to walk, stand, and sit for prolonged periods.
