Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Therapy Technician I to join our team at Scottish Rite for Children Sports Medicine Center. As a Therapy Technician I, you will play a vital role in supporting our physical therapists and occupational therapists in providing high-quality care to our patients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the administration of routine therapeutic treatments delegated by and supervised by a Physical Therapist (PT), Occupational Therapist (OT), or Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA).
  • Implement physical or occupational therapy programs established by the PT, OT, or PTA.
  • Communicate with supervising PT, OT, and/or PTA, the response of patients/families; encourage patients/families to follow treatment regimens at home.
  • Obtain data related to the interventions provided.
  • Ensure patient/family safety and comfort.
  • Promote the structure, culture, and philosophy of Scottish Rite for Children Sports Medicine Center.
  • Demonstrate effective skills for verbal and written communication with physicians, patients of all ages and their families, hospital staff members, and other community-at-large professionals.
  • Responsible for daily cleaning tasks and infection control processes, such as disinfecting equipment and work areas that come in direct contact with patient and neatly organizing and preparing facility for next operational business day.
  • Assist in inventory management, as well as requesting and restocking supplies.

Requirements:

  • High School education or equivalent.
  • Experience in working with children with disabilities or a therapy setting is preferred.
  • Certification in CPR.
