We are seeking an experienced Area Director, Event Technology to lead our team in delivering exceptional event technology services to our clients. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing operations, supervising teams, and driving revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Venue Partner Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with venue partners to ensure seamless event execution.
- Financial Management & Reporting: Analyze financial reports to optimize business performance and drive revenue growth.
- Operations Management: Oversee daily floor operations to ensure compliance with brand and safety standards.
- Sales Management: Hold each assigned location accountable for maintaining a healthy pipeline and achieving established revenue targets.
- Customer Service: Cultivate and maintain relationships with customers, venue teams, and Encore supporting functions and departments.
- People Development: Embrace and foster Encore's Core Values, promote a culture of high performance, and develop the skills of team members.
- Education: High School Diploma required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience: 7+ years of audio-visual experience, 5+ years of operations supervisory/management experience in audio-visual, and 3+ years of customer service or hospitality experience.
- Skills: Effective relationship management, strong financial acumen, sales planning, forecasting, and CRM.
Work Environment: This role will be performed in a venue/convention center environment with moderate exposure to outdoor temperatures and to dirt, sand, and/or dust. The working conditions will vary between moderately quiet to noisy volumes. Team members will use high-end audio-visual equipment and electrical components, and will be exposed to heights via lifts and ladders. Team members may be asked to work in multiple venue locations. This position may require up to 10% travel.
