Senior Nuclear Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our innovative team at Westinghouse Electric Company, LLC. As a Senior Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting our mission to provide clean energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Perform nuclear design analysis and core modeling methodology and software development work in support of the eVinci project.
- Work with cross-functional teams to solve challenging technical problems and progress the eVinci Microreactor design.
- Interface with technical leads and project managers to coordinate activities associated with assigned work scope.
- Occasional travel to vendors, contractors, testing sites, etc., as needed to support development activities.
- Identify, define, and direct approach for successful resolution of significant technical nuclear design issues.
- BS Degree in Nuclear Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or recognized equivalent required.
- Masters or PhD Degree in Nuclear Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or recognized equivalent preferred.
- Experience with neutronics analysis and nuclear design tools required (Serpent, MCNP, or OpenMC).
- Experience with neutronics testing, licensing, code benchmarking, and code V&V preferred.
- Analytical skills, critical thinking, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills including technical writing required.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects and tasks within an innovative development program.
