The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of maintenance personnel, overseeing maintenance and capital improvement needs, and ensuring the overall quality and safety of our properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Lead and mentor a team of maintenance personnel to ensure effective and efficient delivery of maintenance services.
    • Provide guidance and support to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Maintenance and Capital Improvement
    • Oversee maintenance and capital improvement needs of assigned properties to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
    • Develop and implement maintenance plans to ensure the most economical and safe condition of properties.
  • Quality and Safety
    • Inspect properties and common areas regularly to detect maintenance problems and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
    • Coordinate and complete maintenance requests within 24 hours to minimize disruptions to residents.
  • Regulatory Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with NSPIRE, MOR, TCAC, and CALFHA regulations and standards.
    • Conduct inspections and prepare properties for regulatory inspections to ensure compliance.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with residents, team members, and stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of maintenance services.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar leadership role, preferably in residential property management.
    • High school diploma or equivalency certificate required; industry certification or designation preferred.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
    • Ability to wear a respirator and comply with FPI's facial hair policy.
    • Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
    • Proficient in using MS Office, Google Apps, and property management-related software.
  • Additional Requirements
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
