Job Summary:
Stine Seed Company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced sales professional to join our team as an Independent Sales Representative. This role will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with dealers and growers in the assigned territory, while also driving sales growth and revenue for the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve territory sales goals and objectives
- Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers and growers, providing exceptional customer service and support
- Conduct regular sales calls and meetings with dealers and growers to discuss sales opportunities and provide product knowledge
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including recruiting new dealerships and expanding existing relationships
- Collaborate with the Stine Regional Sales Agronomist to provide technical support and guidance to dealers and growers
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activity to inform sales strategies and decisions
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in sales, agronomy, or a related field
- Proven track record of success in sales, with a strong understanding of sales techniques and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with dealers and growers
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of initiative and self-motivation
- Strong knowledge of the seed industry and market trends
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with seed companies or related industries
- Knowledge of agronomic practices and crop production
- Ability to travel regularly, with a valid driver's license
