Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Nurse Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our per diem staff, you will provide direct patient care related to infusion, oversee unlicensed support personnel, and ensure the highest level of quality and safety in your daily work.
Key Responsibilities
As a Nurse Care Specialist, your primary duties will include:
- Providing direct patient care in a knowledgeable, skillful, and compassionate manner, consistent with state and federal regulations, company policies, and your scope of practice.
- Calculating and administering prescription medications with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Monitoring patients before, during, and after infusion treatment, reporting and providing patient assessments as needed.
- Communicating effectively with the care team, medical staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Supervising unlicensed direct patient care staff and enforcing HIPAA compliance policies.
- Completing accurate and timely electronic charting documentation and reporting.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Current and valid state professional nurse licensure required.
- Graduate of accredited LPN/LVN school or nursing associates degree required.
- Current CPR/BLS certification required.
- Minimum of 1 year of IV experience and infusion experience preferred.
- CRNI certified RN infusion preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Compensation and Benefits
As a valued member of our team, you can expect a competitive salary, benefits package, and opportunities for growth and advancement. The estimated salary for this role is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, based on location and experience.
