Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Lifeguard to join our team at the YMCA of Southeastern North Carolina. As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our members and guests while they enjoy our aquatic facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor swimmers and aquatic areas to prevent accidents and ensure a safe environment.
  • Respond to emergencies and perform water rescues, administer CPR, and provide first aid as needed.
  • Enforce facility rules and regulations to prevent unsafe behavior.
  • Provide excellent customer service and interact with guests to ensure a positive experience.
  • Teach swimming lessons and coach swimmers of all ages and skill levels.
  • Conduct regular safety checks and maintain accurate records of pool attendance and water quality.
Requirements
  • Certified Lifeguard with current certification.
  • CPR and First Aid certified.
  • Strong swimming skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
