We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at the Naval Nuclear Laboratory. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and supporting our thermal and hydraulic test loops.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop fluid-mechanical systems and hardware
- Perform ASME code calculations and piping flow analyses
- Oversee testing system installation and maintenance
- Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers, scientists, and technicians
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or science-related field
- 4 years of relevant experience or Master's degree with 2 years of experience
- Applied knowledge of pressure equipment and fluid/mechanical system design
- Motivation to pursue advances in technology and deliver results
- Experience with 3D CAD software packages
- Previous work supporting test facilities and infrastructure
- Knowledge of ASME B31 series
- High GPA (3.4 or higher)
