Job Summary

The College of Allied Health Sciences at Augusta University is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a faculty position in the Respiratory Therapy Program. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing instruction to students in both didactic and clinical environments, as well as supervising in a clinical setting. Additionally, the incumbent will serve as the Program Director for Respiratory Therapy and participate in scholarship activities, including research, presentations, and publications.

Responsibilities

The faculty member will be responsible for teaching 60% of the time, with a focus on didactic and clinical instruction. The remaining 40% of the time will be dedicated to administrative duties, including serving as the Program Director and participating in scholarship activities.

Required Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess a Master's degree, RRT credentials, and eligibility for a Georgia RCP license. A minimum of five years of academic experience, including at least two years as a Respiratory Program Director, is also required. Additionally, the candidate must have a proven track record of success as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.

Preferred Qualifications

Advance credentials and experience in teaching in a classroom, laboratory, or clinical instruction in an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program are preferred. The ideal candidate will also have a strong background in research and scholarship, with a demonstrated ability to publish and present research findings.
