Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Medical Science Liaison to support the western sales territories of the US.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategic plans within their region to meet company-defined goals within corporate and regulatory guidelines.
  • Identify key opinion leaders and build fostering mutually productive relationships in the areas of medical education and clinical/scientific research.
  • Help shape a new treatment paradigm through scientific exchange with key opinion leaders.
  • Respond to unsolicited scientific and medical information requests.
Primary Job Responsibilities
  • Maintain clinical and technical expertise in specific therapeutic areas.
  • Deliver high-quality scientific presentations on science and data to physicians and other key external customers.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to develop and present relevant clinical data to varied audiences, including medical professionals, payers, patients, and representatives of patient organizations.
  • Identify and recommend speakers and support advisory board meetings and speaker training initiatives.
  • Maintain cross-functional collaboration with internal teams: Business Planning/Strategy, Customer Experience, Clinical, Regulatory, Legal, etc.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of medical education strategies and initiatives, publication planning, development of medical education material, internal training, etc.
  • Perform and complete administrative responsibilities and internal projects timely, activity reports, KOL contact documentation, expense reports, etc.
  • Provide specific and time-sensitive feedback to core team on program successes, challenges, and opportunities.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of scientific and medical expertise.
  • Over 3 years of field medical experience.
  • Thorough understanding of clinical development, clinical trial design, and biostatistics and implications of applicable laws and regulations governing clinical research, including ICH/GCP, IND/IDE, FDA, OIG, and HIPAA.
  • Required to attend trade shows/scientific sessions.
  • Ability to travel for work-related meetings and functions, including overnight and/or weekends.
