Job Summary:

The Assistant Vice President, Perioperations is a key leadership role within the Wellstar Health System, Inc. responsible for overseeing the strategic, operational, and quality aspects of perioperative and procedural services. This role requires a highly effective leader who can manage multiple departments, including the perioperative and procedural services, and work collaboratively with system and service line leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee the strategic, operational, and quality aspects of perioperative and procedural services
* Manage multiple departments, including perioperative and procedural services
* Collaborate with system and service line leadership to execute on strategies and quality oversight
* Develop and prioritize surgical capital plans and surgery center strategies
* Partner with stakeholders to integrate patient experiences, operational effectiveness, and system outcomes within the hospital and procedural operations of the service line

Requirements:

* Masters in Nursing or Bachelors in Nursing with a Masters in a related field
* GA RN (Single State) or RN Multi-state Compact
* Minimum of five (5) years of progressive leadership experience in a hospital/healthcare environment
* Experience with adult and pediatric services
* Experience with an academic medical center

Preferred Qualifications:

* Highly developed leadership and interpersonal skills
* Regulatory, financial analysis, and business planning skills
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
* Knowledge and command of the principles of financial analysis, planning, operations, and human resources
