Trauma Registrar Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Trauma Registrar to join our team at Nuvance Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Norwalk Hospital Trauma Registry, ensuring accurate and timely data collection and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and screen pertinent patient data for Trauma Registry
  • Extract data from patient medical records and enter into the Registry
  • Ensure accuracy of transmitted data and maintain file backups
  • Prepare routine and statistical reports upon request
  • Represent the hospital at State Trauma Registrar functions when necessary
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • Two years of college and knowledge of medical terminology
  • Knowledge of ICD-9 coding and/or previous registry experience
  • Strong computer skills, including data entry, word processing, and creating queries
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with significant manual skills and motor coordination required. The position is exempt and offers a competitive salary range of $41.32 hourly.
