Key Responsibilities:
As a Retail Operations Supervisor, your duties will encompass:
- Delivering outstanding customer service
- Acting as the Manager on Duty when the Store Manager is unavailable
- Executing operational and transactional tasks
- Addressing customer service concerns
- Authorizing desk transactions
- Opening and closing the store
The Retail Operations Supervisor will escalate any managerial tasks requiring approval to the Store Manager, such as disciplinary actions, hiring, and terminating staff.
Primary Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
- Exemplifying our core values through your actions
- Ensuring adherence to all company policies and procedures as outlined in the reference materials
- Undertaking additional responsibilities as delegated by the Store Manager
Leadership Responsibilities:
In addition to the Sales Associate responsibilities, the Retail Operations Supervisor will assist the Store Manager in overseeing the store's operational efficiency, including but not limited to:
- Supporting business strategies and adapting to achieve objectives
- Driving sales by managing the customer experience while fulfilling Manager on Duty responsibilities
- Utilizing tools to foster a client-focused team environment
- Anticipating customer needs and communicating store metrics to motivate team members
- Coaching Associates on customer interactions and performance to enhance productivity
- Managing store keys and executing opening and closing procedures in the absence of management
- Assuming register functions requiring approval
- Using reports to make informed merchandising decisions and maintain store standards
- Ensuring adequate staffing and productivity through effective scheduling
- Completing daily tasks to ensure smooth store operations and compliance with company standards

Position Requirements:
Client Service:
Prioritizing customer satisfaction while balancing necessary tasks and overall store operations.

Store Operations and Organization:
Ability to organize, delegate, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Merchandising:
Familiarity with visual standards and techniques, and the ability to implement and maintain them according to company guidelines.

Accuracy:
Competence in handling cash transactions and providing change accurately.

Communication:
Effectively communicating with customers, management, business partners, and store associates.

Schedule:
Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate business needs, including evening and weekend shifts.

Physical:
Capability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds occasionally.

Educational and Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of six months of experience as a Sales Associate with Ann Taylor or equivalent experience in a retail sales position
- Preference for part-time or full-time managerial experience.
