  • Initiates, monitors, and maintains life support systems.
  • Monitors outcomes of various respiratory care procedures.
  • Establishes and maintains respiratory equipment par-level and required maintenance records.
  • Troubleshoots equipment malfunction.
  • Conducts quality assurance audits.
  • Conducts quality control monitoring.

Responsibilities Continued:

Provides routine clinical care, including ventilator checks, tracheostomy care, suctioning, resident evaluations, care plan development, respiratory medication delivery, supply changes, and equipment management.

Requirements:

  • Must be a certified Respiratory Therapist.
  • Licensed in the state.
  • Completion of a two-year accredited Respiratory Program.
  • Current CPR certification.
