We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Partner to join our team at Sharp HealthCare. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our clinical staff.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the interprofessional team to deliver high-quality patient care under the direction of a licensed nurse.
- Provide patient care within the scope of your responsibilities, including daily care, monitoring, and documentation.
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers, ensuring accurate and timely updates to patient records.
- Manage and operate equipment safely, ensuring integrity and sterility of supplies.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Less than 1 year of related clinical experience.
- AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Other comparable certified nursing assistant courses.
- 1 year of experience as a unit clerk or secretary in an acute care setting.
- Clinical Competency: Perform at least one higher-level competency, such as EKG, Lift Team/Mobilization, or Integrative Therapy.
- Teamwork and Communication: Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver patient care, respond to customer inquiries, and communicate effectively with patients and families.
- Admissions, Discharges, and Transfers: Ensure accurate and timely updates to patient records, coordinate transfers, and manage patient belongings.
- Patient Care Activities: Provide daily care, monitor patients, and document patient information.
- Safety: Comply with universal precautions, use proper body mechanics, and report hazards and unsafe practices.
- Medical Record/Information Management: Obtain and maintain patient records, update electronic information systems, and coordinate scheduling of tests and retrieving results.
- Equipment and Supplies: Manage and operate equipment safely, ensure integrity and sterility of supplies, and track equipment availability.
- Knowledge of basic patient care skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform all baseline patient care skills under the guidance of a licensed nurse.
- Fluent knowledge of English.
